There are many components that go into getting the best images out of a photography session, and ambience is far from least on that list! My aim as your photographer is to give you all the information necessary to create your dream gallery-- but not so many options that you feel overwhelmed. In pursuit of this, here are my favorite locations to shoot engagements, couples, seniors, headshots, editorial, and more, all right here in Tucson, Arizona.

Outdoor

Gates Pass


If you ask me, this is one of the ultimate places to catch those classic Arizona sunsets. The mountains turn orange, and you get to sit in all the saturated beauty of the desert as it clings to the final hours of sunlight. Located along the crest of the Tucson mountains, this gem of a spot is sure to produce dreamy and moody images.

Sweetwater Wetlands


Do you want to stay in the Tucson vicinity for your shoot but don't necessarily want that desert-feel? Sweetwater Wetlands is your place. Located just west of the freeway, this underrated park has a gorgeous loop to walk where the scenery is diverse and plush. The options are endless with the kind of natural backdrops your gallery can include at this location.

Catalina State Park


With perfect view of some of the most beautiful views in the greater Tucson area, this national park is tucked up right next to the Santa Catalina Mountains. Rent out a beautiful awning here, or simply explore the foothills in all it's glory. This is a classic Arizona hot spot for weddings, but is also a stunner of a place for engagements and editorial desert shoots.

Downtown Tucson


Downtown Tucson has the charm of old architecture mixed with the livelihood of the city-feel. This is my preferred location for high fashion and editorial shoots simply because of how diverse each block is. You can find anything from colorful murals for artistic shots to old hotels like Hotel Congress, which lend to that old Hollywood mood. This is the spot for creativity.
